Shetland Sheep
Fine Fleece - Natural Colors

We raise healthy and happy Shetlands who enjoy ear rubs and grow soft fleeces in a variety of colors: browns, tans, grays, black and white. My favorite farm "chore" is to pet and admire their fleeces!

Learn more about this heritage breed and wool at the

Fine Fleece Shetland Sheep Assoion.

We are a steward of the Three Rivers Fibershed, offering a source for locally grown wool while helping protect the biosphere.

Yarn and Fiber

The Shop has an everchanging inventory of  Fingering, Sport, DK, and Worsted weight yarns. Makers will love the next-to-skin softness when creating, as well as wearing.

The fleece parts that don't make the grade for yarn are used for cozy rugs and felted items. Rug yarn and a variety of woolen goods are for sale at fiber events.

The wool is processed by family-owned mills in WI, MN, and the Dakotas.

Patterns and Kits

The natural colors blend and contrast beautifully for Fair Isle and other colorwork patterns. The yarn has a soft structure and subtly shows off lace, cables and stitch work.

Kits and quick patterns are a fun way to sample the yarn. Kits are for sale at fiber events.

Free yarn samples are offered so the color and texture can be experienced first hand. Contact us for a free sample.
